Summer Camp 2025
JJ Swimming was proud to host its three-day Swimming Performance Camp at the excellent facilities of Clayesmore School Sports Centre – and what a week it was! Swimmers aged 10–16 joined us for an intensive, fun, and inspiring programme designed to take their swimming to the next level.
Across the three days, our swimmers spent more than three hours a day in the pool, working on technique, speed, efficiency, and endurance under the guidance of experienced JJ Swimming coaches. They also took part in land-based gym sessions, building strength and mobility to support their performance in the water.
But the camp wasn’t just about training hard, it was about learning to think, fuel, and recover like an athlete. Through engaging workshops, our swimmers explored the psychology behind performance, how to stay focused under pressure, and the importance of good nutrition. Each participant also received individual video analysis, giving them a unique chance to see their strokes in action and make real-time improvements. It was inspiring to watch these young athletes push themselves, support one another, and leave the camp with new skills, confidence, and motivation.

January Camp 2026
We were thrilled to host our two-day Swim Race Camp in January 2026, and what an action-packed weekend it was! This camp was all about racing – perfect for swimmers aged 10–16 looking to sharpen their competitive edge and take their speed to the next level.
Across two full days, our swimmers spent focused sessions in the pool, working on starts, turns, sprint technique, pacing, and race strategies under the guidance of our experienced JJ Swimming coaches. Every session was designed to push swimmers to perform at their best while helping them understand the finer details that make a difference in a race.
To make it even more realistic, we ran a full gala-style experience. This gave swimmers the chance to get into the right competitive mindset and simulate the excitement and nerves of a real race. It also allowed us to record underwater footage of every swim, giving each participant the unique opportunity to analyse their technique in detail and make improvements in real time.
Outside the pool, participants took part in quick, targeted land-based exercises to improve strength, mobility, and explosive power – all essential for peak racing performance.
We also included workshops on focus, race-day mindset, and managing nerves, giving swimmers the tools to feel confident and ready when it counts.
It was incredible to watch our swimmers rise to the challenge, push themselves in a supportive environment, and leave the camp with new skills, confidence, and a true racing mindset.
